Cerron El Sentido de la Vida (the meaning of life), Syrah, Cencibel, Cabernet Sauvignon & Monastrell. The vineyards have a biologically dynamic controlled cultivation. The grapes are growing at 850 meters above the sea level, the soil is composed of sandy clay. Those are the oldest and highest located plots belonging to the family.
El Sentido de la Vida has an intense and deep ruby red colour, with purple tints. It has notes of ripe red fruit, mineral sensations, spicy hints and notes of Mediterranean scrub. Structured, warm, intense and smooth, with sweet tannins. This Spanish wine has a characteristic blend of fruitiness and notes of mineral sensations and elegance. Recommended temperature: 15-18°C.
The young and ambitious winemaker Juan Jose Cerdan is going his own way. He renounces using trivial cellar techniques, he is experimenting with amphora and is only using wild native yeast (spontaneous fermentation). The grape harvest is done manually. Together with his Italian partner Maria Teresa Milina he is selling his strictly limited products world-wide, with connoisseurs considering them an insider’s tip.
